What makes POSPlugin So Simple?

After looking at many Internet Shopping Cart Solutions it became apparent that while many solved some solutions well, they fell short in more important areas.

Smaller merchants needed something simple and to the point, with little hassle to set up. What they got were a lot of false promises, inflated prices and ended up with a website that either did not work or was to cumbersome and technical to update. 

We at POSPlugin we realized there was a need for a shopping cart system that would work with any existing website. It needed to be simple to use and not require frames. It had to be html 4.1 compliant and not use javascript for inserting functionality. It didn't require any major html refactoring or use any pre-made templates that all end up looking the same. A cart that anyone would feel comfortorable using.

How many Items can I put on POSPlugin?

POS Plugin is intended for the small to medium sized merchant who can insert their inventory into our database one item at a time. We have made some cool tools to help with the creation of your product inventory. If you have many products that would be too hard to create one at a time, or just want someone else to install your inventory into POS Plugin. Please contact our staff for pricing.  The maximum items per account is 1000.

Can POSPlugin Catalog Items ?

We are working on an Enterprise product for POSPlugin that will catalog products. POSPlugin was intended for the small to medium site with only a few products. 

I have many products, can I import them into your database ?

Yes and No !
Yes they can be imported off-line. POSPlugin uses many different tables for customers, merchants, shipping and products. Our staff will be more then happy to install your products in POS Plugin for a small fee.

What is Sync-Pricing©™? And how does it work?

Sync-Pricing lets you keep the prices shown on your website synchronized with your POSPlugin inventory database. Regardless of what, where, when or who your website is hosted by, your prices will be up-to-date. Paste the POSPlugin html into your site once and everytime you change an item's price in your inventory, it is reflected on your site. No extra changes, just change it once and you are set. So no more changing an items price on your page and forgetting to update some code elsewhere.

Do I need to know HTML to use POSPlugin?

It will help since POSPlugin works by cutting and pasting html into your pre-existing website. We have many examples of how it is done. You can do it by hand or use a WYSIWYG editor like Front Page, DreamWeaver or GoLive. So although it isn't neccessary, it does help. How you make your site is up to you. The staff at POSPlugin can help you with making an effective site if you do not all ready have one. If you have a site but for what ever reason it is not working we can also help you get it up and running.

We are working on a SOAP and XML-RPC version of POSPlugin which let you incorporate the functionality of our system into your code.

Do I need a Credit Card Merchant Account.

If you don't have a merchant account, POSPlugin works seemlessly with PayPal and also has a "Printable Invoice" payment method. Even if your merchant account is not internet-enabled you can still manually enter credit card numbers on your terminal by logging in securely to view your sales history. For online credit card processing POSPlugin passes all customer credit card information over a secured connection to your credit card processing service.

Do I need a UPS or FEDEX account ?

No, but it would help get your products to more people. POSPlugin is setup to work with all major shippers including the Unitied States Post Office. If you are just starting and do not have an UPS or Fedx Account you can always send your products US Priority Mail and the Post Office provides Free Boxes, Labels, and Tape.
